invite you to participate in the Short Story Competition
"Everything Can Change"
BASES : FIRST
. Open to all Mexicans for citizenship, naturalization or residency. SECOND
. The stories are tales of Science Fiction and Fantasy in ucronia key (alternate history will happen in the future), having an event that takes place in a Mexico where a leftist party wins national elections. Stories must be unpublished and may not have been awarded or previously published in anthologies, magazines and electronic media. Each author may submit up to two stories and texts written in collaboration support. THIRD
. Stories should be a maximum of six pages. Should be written in English with Word documents in Arial 12 point, double-spaced and include the following information from the participant: 1. Full name 2. Address 3. Contact Number 4. E-mail. FOURTH
. The stories will be sent as a document in Word format attachment to the following email:
brigadaparaleerenlibertad@gmail.com with the notation "for the contest of science fiction and fantasy." Participants will receive an email in response, confirming the correct reception of the document. FIFTH
. The delivery of the work expires Friday April 15, 2011 . SIXTH
. The jury will consist of a group of professional writers who have cultivated the genre: Paco Ignacio Taibo II, Bernardo Fernandez BEF and Irving Roffe. SEVENTH
. The jury's decision, the date and place of the awards will be announced on May 8, 2011 on the websites of the organizers (www.paraleerenlibertad.com, www.prd-df.org.mx). The Jury's decision is final and, where appropriate, be declared void. The jury also reserves the right to recommend the posting of any texts other contestants, and to reject work that does not meet the requirements of these rules. EIGHTH
. Be awarded to first place and there will be two second places with the following awards:
First Place: $ 5,000.00
Second Place: $ 3,000.00 each.
All winning stories will be published in an anthology to be edited, introduced and given away in an edition of not less than one thousand copies in a book fair organized by the Freedom Brigade Read and PRD-DF over this year. This edition will also consisted of professional storytelling genre several countries. NINTH
. The rights of the work submitted to competition remain with the authors. However, the organizers can play, not for profit, by those means may be appropriate. In this case the organizers will be made to give due credit to the authors and cited as a source: Short Story Competition "Everything can change." TENTH
. Cases not covered in this call will be resolved jointly by the organizers and the jury.
