Direct Connection between devices allow Router unused

As stated by the specialists of Wi-Fi Alliance is expected that would be available mid-2010 the new Wi-Fi standard, which allows direct connection of Wi-Fi devices without using a Wi-Fi router in between. Something similar to Bluetooth, but much better because it would maintain the same scope and the same speed as the current Wi-Fi.

The new standard called Wi-Fi Direct and according to the Wi-Fi Alliance, to which they belong, among others, Intel, Microsoft and Apple, detect and connect to any device with Wi -Fi in the range of 300 meters, from PC to cameras, TV or printer. We find it very interesting novelty, while the Wi-Fi Aliance planning a massive campaign to change us to the new standard.
